Machine Control Software Engineer

We are currently seeking a Machine Control Software Engineer to join our Engineering team. The successful candidate will apply a diverse set of interests and skills to help shape the future of our industry. You will play a critical role in the design, coding, test development, deployment and troubleshooting of our current state-of-the-art machines, as well as engage in the development of next generation products. The ability to create and debug machine control software, as well as integrate third-party automation platforms, is of particular importance. This talented individual will be a key part of a small and passionate Engineering unit comprised of likeminded individuals. IT Administrator

We are seeking an IT Administrator responsible for maintaining the AMETEK PTMC infrastructure, application, database, and network environment. Provides support for ERP system management and associated reporting. Manages daily operations and resolves reported problems and service interruptions. RESPONSIBILITIES: • Provide technical oversight for all computing related activities associated with the business unit, including planning, implementation/expansion, maintenance, and troubleshooting of hardware, software, and the associated networks, both internal and external • Monitor the performance and utilization of all IT related systems to maintain maximum system uptime • Support ERP system enhancements to optimize Manufacturing and Finance processes • Automate ERP data retrieval to provide enhanced reporting to Finance, Sales and Manufacturing • Establish and maintain contact with vendors for support and problem resolution • Support the network and telecommunication needs of the business unit • Manage systems and server security and address potential cybersecurity issues • Oversee server backups, updates, maintenance, and Disaster Recovery Planning • Manage logical access controls and change management to comply with Corporate IT Standards • Maintain documentation of all hardware and software under areas of responsibility • Provide weekend support when necessary.

CNC Cylindrical Grinder Machinist

Job Description:
Experienced CNC Cylindrical Grinder Machinist with the ability to set-up and operate high precision CNC Cylindrical Grinding Machines to produce precision finishes to extremely close tolerances on OD and ID surfaces.
Experience in programming and operating a Studer or Kellenberger horizontal CNC grinding system preferred.
Must have prior CNC Machining experience and be able to read and interpret prints and use precision measuring instruments and various gauges.

Position Responsibilities:

Set-up, program, and operate CNC Cylindrical Grinding Machines and Diamond Turning Machines, to produce high precision components to exacting specifications.
Operate and set up machinery to adjust feed rate, wheel speed, length of stroke, and depth of grind in accordance with accepted quality and finish standards.
Inspect parts for conformance to specifications dimensionally as well as form and finish, utilizing micrometers, calipers, air gauges, CNC equipment, and CMM.
Read and interpret prints and associated work instructions and schedules.
Replace worn wheels and tools as necessary.
Regularly interface with product engineering and manufacturing engineering.
Perform special projects with minimum direction using prints, verbal instructions, or hand sketches.
Assist and/or instruct other machinists. • Complete necessary paperwork as required to record time and volume of work.
Properly maintain equipment to ensure efficient operation.
Operate and prioritize work to maintain on-time production schedules and priority changes.

Surface Grinder

The Surface Grinder will have the ability to set-up, and operate surface grinding machines to produce finished components to extremely close tolerances.
Must have prior grinding / lapping experience and be able to read and interpret blueprints and use precision measuring instruments.

Work will consist mostly of grinding and lapping dovetail slides.

Position Responsibilities:

• With minimum instruction, set-up, and operate various grinding machines to produce high precision components to exacting specifications.
• Complete necessary paperwork as required to record time, volume of work, etc. • Must assist and/or instruct other machinists.
• Regularly interface with product engineering/drafting and manufacturing engineering.
• May perform special projects with minimum direction using prints, verbal instructions or hand sketches.
• Properly maintain equipment to ensure efficient operation.
• Ability to stand for extended periods of time, reach with both hands and bend as necessary, and be capable of lifting up to 40 lbs on a regular basis.

CNC Machinist

We are seeking an experienced CNC Machinist with the ability to set-up and operate a CNC vertical machining center, or surface grinding machine working to extremely close tolerances.

Responsibilities Include:

* Set-up and Operate a Haas or Hurco vertical milling machine, or surface grinder.
* Machine a variety of metal components to print following instructions and daily dispatch lists.
* Process paperwork to record time and materials. * Assist or instruct others in the use of machinery.
* Interface with others such as Engineering or Assembly,
* Perform special projects with limited direction following prints or sketches.
* Assist in any function to maintain production or facility.
* Perform daily/weekly maintenance on machine.

Machine Assembler/ Machine Builder

We have an opening for a Mechanical Assembler who will perform assembly operations in both the Mechanical and Sub-Assembly areas to include assembly of a variety of machine systems involving electrical, pneumatic, hydraulic circuitry, precision controls, electro/mechanical components and units having precise and critical operation specifications.

Specific work activities will include

Component installation
Building and assembly of sub-components
Installation of software, testing, tuning and troubleshooting
Installation of slides, spindles, alignment of slides, tracing and measuring of mechanical components.

Field Service Engineer

In this highly visible role, the Field Service Engineer will serve as a liaison between the customer and the company on technical service issues with responsibilities to include: machine buy-off, installation and training, troubleshooting of mechanical and electronic equipment both on-site and remotely, and associated telephone support. Many of these duties will be conducted in the field at the customer’s location. This position will also work with Engineering to design, document, and implement aftermarket machine retrofits in the field.
